Maritna Mank (Zbrodzka) was born in the state of Hesse (Germany),

the cradle of such eminent playwrights as Goethe and Buechner. After being trained at the (State) Academy of Music and Drama in Hanover (Master Diploma) she was immediately given leading parts in classical and modern plays in prestigious theaters in Germany and worked with many prominent European directors. On Television she appeared in numerous quality productions broadcast by major national networks of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where she played important roles alongside all the big names in TV and Film. She is also a much asked for voice-over artist and narrator of documentaries and many audio books. Recently she also began to write and direct German language Versions of American, French and Scandinavian films. The Part of Zbrodzka is her first role on an English-speaking stage.
